Call Volume Booster app privacy policy

Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 12, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how Call Volume Booster (the "App") handles information and permissions on your Android device. The App is designed to help you optimize in-call volume and clarity using only local device features. It does not record, transmit, or store call audio or other personal data to any server.

Summary
In short: the App only requests the minimum permissions necessary to detect call state and display a foreground notification while the booster is enabled. All processing happens locally on your device. No audio is recorded, uploaded, or shared.

Permissions Used & Why
The App requests the following Android permissions. Each permission is used only for the stated purpose and only when the user enables the booster.

android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE
Purpose: To detect call state (ringing, off-hook, idle) so the App can apply volume optimizations only when a call is active. The App does not access or record call audio or call content.

android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE
Purpose: To allow the App to run a foreground service when the booster is enabled. The foreground service shows a persistent notification so the user is always aware the booster is active.

android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Purpose: On Android 13+ the App requests notification permission in order to display the persistent notification while the booster is active. The notification provides on/off controls and a clear way to stop the service.

android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_NOTIFICATION
Purpose: On Android 14+ the App declares a compatible foreground service type so the platform allows the foreground service to run for notification-related usage. This is a system-level permission style declaration used only to comply with platform requirements.

What the App Does NOT Do
It does not record phone calls or microphone audio.
It does not transmit or store any audio or call content to servers.
It does not access contacts, call logs, SMS, or other sensitive user data.
How the Booster Works
The booster uses Android's official APIs (for example, AudioManager and audio effect APIs such as equalizer/loudness enhancer when available) to:

Set the in-call stream volume to the device's maximum allowed level when a call is detected (if the user has enabled that behavior).
Optionally apply safe equalizer or loudness-enhancement effects to improve perceived clarity (note: some audio effect APIs apply only to media sessions and may not affect the in-call audio path on all devices).
User Control & Transparency
The App requires explicit user action (toggle/switch) to enable the booster.
When enabled, a persistent notification is shown. The user can stop the booster directly from the notification or from the App UI.
Permissions are requested at runtime, and the App will not start the foreground service without user consent and required runtime permissions.
Data Storage & Sharing
The App stores no personal or audio data on servers. Any small local settings (for example: whether the booster is enabled) are stored locally on the device using standard Android SharedPreferences. These settings are not shared with third parties.

Third-party Libraries
If the App uses any third-party libraries, they are included only to support UI or platform compatibility; no third-party analytics or crash-reporting that collects audio or call content is integrated by default. If you plan to include analytics, disclose it here and obtain consent where required.

Publishing & Play Store Compliance
The App's descriptions and declarations in Play Console accurately represent the permissions used. The App does not request sensitive permissions (microphone recording, CALL_LOG, etc.) that are unrelated to the core function. The App has a clear Privacy Policy page linked in the Play Console entry.
